for some reason i really wanted to do something where karkat and eridan were matesprits until eridan went and got himself killed. karkat still wears his scarf, even if it usually leads to a sad little fit of crying. even once he's kind of hedging on redrom with dave, every little reminder of eridan just makes him sad all over again and he doesn't even try to discuss it with him. maybe dave oversees karkat w dead!eridan in a dreambubble at some point or something idkkk
